How/what do you do to winterize roses? It,s now late Sept. Do I trim them back more towards Oct.?
they go into hibernation, so all you need to do is cover them to prevent freezing using a sheet or plastic until late november. once in hibernation, just keep the ground around them damp (unless the region is too cold and the ground freezes).
